There’s nothing like a steaming hot pile of crispy chicken nuggets and waffle fries with two or three packets of Chick-fil-A sauce. You get up, grab your wallet, head to the closest Chick-fil-A…and then you realize it’s Sunday. Instead of waiting outside for them to open on Monday morning, open a franchise right in your kitchen, starting with this copycat Chick-fil-A sauce. It’s sweet, tangy, a little smoky, and identical to the original.
The secret to Chick-fil-A sauce isn’t really much of a secret at all. The official story is that in the early ’80s, an employee of a franchise in Virginia accidentally mixed BBQ sauce with honey mustard, creating one of the tastiest dipping sauces known to humankind. The obvious choice here may be waffle fries and nuggets, but this sauce seriously goes with almost anything. Try it with a plate of crispy
air-fryer zucchini or drizzled on your favorite turkey burger. If you’re anything like me and you need Chick-fil-A’s signature nuggets to get your dunk on, try Justin’s recipe for Copycat Chick-fil-A Nuggets.
